Fennel is a perennial plant that tolerates drought well. We grow it as an annual in dry lands, without watering it. The seeds are harvested in mid-August.
Fennel is sought after for its anise note, which it shares with green anise and star anise. In fact, it is one of the ingredients in pastis, and goes very well with fish. Fennel bulb loses its flavour when cooked, and the Blissful Plant Extract obtained from its seeds is ideal to enhance its taste.
